About Tutorbridge
Tutorbridge is a **free tutor-matching service** for families and adult students in the US. We help you find vetted, background-checked tutors for K-12 subjects, test prep, ESL support, reading & math, and study skills.
Our mission
We believe every student deserves clear help and a trustworthy tutor—without added cost.
Tutorbridge helps families and adult learners understand tutoring and then get connected with vetted, background-checked tutors. We’re especially helpful for new immigrants, non-native English speakers, and parents who may feel overwhelmed by the process.
We don’t teach lessons and we don’t replace the school. We focus on the important first step: matching you with the right kind of academic support for your goals and schedule.
What Tutorbridge is—and isn’t
Tutorbridge is not a tutoring company, school, learning center, or licensed education provider. We don’t employ tutors, set prices, grade students, or guarantee outcomes.
When you share what you need, we help you find and connect with independent local or online tutors. The tutor is the one who teaches, and you and the tutor agree on lesson plans and schedules.
We also don’t provide educational, psychological, medical, special-education, immigration, or legal advice. If you need help with a learning disability, IEP/504, or legal questions, we’ll point you to the right qualified professionals and your school district.
How it works (simple and transparent)
Getting started is straightforward. You tell us the subject and the support you’re looking for, plus a way to contact you. Then we help connect you with a tutor who fits your needs.
To keep your information safe, we collect subject + contact details only. We do not ask for SSN, student ID, school records, grades, IEP/504 documents, immigration documents, or any bank/financial account information.
If you’re curious about the exact steps, you can review how it works and when you might next expect to hear from someone. You can also see get matched for the general flow.
How Tutorbridge is paid (and why it matters)
Tutorbridge is free for families. We’re paid a flat marketing/matching fee by participating tutors/providers.
That means we’re not charging families, and we’re not paid based on tutoring results like grades, test scores, or school admission. Your tutor’s success depends on many factors—your effort, the tutor’s fit, and the specific situation.
Because we’re focused on matching (not outcomes), we keep expectations realistic. Tutoring can help a student improve, but we can’t promise any guaranteed score or grade. For more detail, see disclaimer.
Our values: trust, fit, and clarity
We know parents and adult students often feel stressed when they’re searching for help. Our goal is to make the process feel calmer and more understandable.
We value clear communication, respect for your time, and honest matching. We connect you with tutors for K-12 subjects, test prep, ESL/newcomer support, reading & math, and study skills—but we never imply guaranteed results.
Good fit matters. A tutor who understands your student’s current level and goals is more likely to be helpful. That’s why you should feel comfortable asking questions and confirming details before starting.
Safety with child sessions
If the tutoring involves a child or teen, your safety checks matter. We encourage you to confirm a tutor’s background check, references, and qualifications—and to supervise sessions involving minors.
For in-person sessions, consider meeting in a public place first or ensuring a parent is nearby. For online sessions, keep the session visible and follow any family rules you prefer.
Tutorbridge helps with vetting and matching, but you remain the best judge for what feels safe for your family.
Tutorbridge is a free service that helps you find a vetted tutor for academic support, with clear expectations—no guarantees and no extra cost to families.
