**Tutorbridge is a free matching service, not a tutoring company or school.** We connect families and adult learners with independent tutors, and we do not give educational, legal, or immigration advice.
Tutorbridge is a matching service, not a provider
Tutorbridge helps families and adult students in the US find independent local and online tutors for K-12 subjects, test prep, ESL/newcomer support, reading and math, and study skills.
We do not teach lessons, employ the tutors, set their prices, grade students, or grant credentials. The tutors you connect with are independent providers, and any tutoring agreement is made directly between you and the tutor.
If you want to understand how we handle your information, please read our Privacy Policy and Terms.
No guarantees or promises
We want to be clear and honest: tutoring can help, but results vary. We do not promise a grade change, test score, school admission, fluency, or any other outcome.
Progress depends on many things, including the student’s needs, the tutor’s experience, attendance, practice, and the situation at school or at home.
If you are comparing options, you can get matched and then ask each tutor about their experience, teaching style, and availability.
Not educational, legal, medical, or immigration advice
The information on Tutorbridge is general information only. It is not educational, psychological, medical, special-education, legal, or immigration advice.
If you have questions about a learning disability, an IEP, a 504 plan, or special-education rights, please speak with the school or a qualified specialist. If you have immigration or visa questions, please contact a licensed immigration attorney or an accredited representative.
For F-1 or other student-visa questions, we do not provide visa advice. Tutoring support is academic help only.
What information we collect
To help connect you with a tutor, we collect only the subject and your contact details.
We do not ask for SSNs, student ID numbers, school records, grades, IEP/504 documents, immigration documents, or bank or financial account numbers.
Please do not send sensitive documents through our forms unless we specifically ask for something simple, such as a way to contact you.
Please confirm tutor details yourself
Before starting lessons, parents and students should confirm the tutor’s background check, references, and qualifications directly with the tutor or provider.
This is especially important for minors. We strongly encourage a parent or guardian to supervise sessions involving children, such as meeting in a public room, staying nearby, or using a visible or recorded online session when appropriate.
Ask questions before you begin, and make sure you feel comfortable with the tutor and the setting.
How payments and tutoring arrangements work
Tutorbridge is free for families. We may be paid a flat marketing or matching fee by participating tutors or providers, but that does not change what you pay the tutor.
Any price, schedule, cancellation policy, teaching plan, or lesson format is set by the independent tutor or provider, not by Tutorbridge.
If you have a concern about a tutoring arrangement, please contact the tutor directly first. You can also review our Terms for more information.
Tutorbridge helps you find tutors, but we do not teach, advise, or guarantee results, and we only collect basic contact details to make the match.
